Last week Dave and Darrell from LEADA visited Sladen Valley WTW. A Yorkshire Water site we have been involved with to undertake a pump service of the dosing and dilution pumps. The system is for the final disinfection of drinking water for Yorkshire Water. The system was an off-site built kiosk dosing system, comprising of 4 number bespoke, Forbes chemical storage tanks, 2 of the tanks contain 14% sodium hypochlorite with 2 further tanks containing diluted Hypo chlorite solution for dosing, and two duty/standby contained dosing rigs with local eye wash stations.
The system has in build water softening equipment, air-to-air heat pump climate control for the storage room and pump room, and 4 number Grundfos digital dosing pumps for duty standby operation of batching and dosing. Following delivery, the system has been fully integrated into the site control and monitoring system. The system has been in operation for two years during the MIEX plant installation for Kier. As part of the final handover, the system was inspected to complete the client handover. The system showed that it still looked as good as the day of service. Showing how reliable, maintainable and how high quality fabrication they are.
