LEADA have recently started a new project working with Yorkshire Water Services, to upgrade their STW at Otley in Wharfedale, West Yorkshire. The initial stage of the project includes site-wide electrical, ducting, and ICA investigation work. Once design work has been completed by LEADA, The main body of work on this project will include:
Site integration of a modulated penstock at the stormwater inlet site, controlling sewage flows into the main treatment works. At the main site, LEADA is supporting YW in providing new power and control cabling for a new inlet screw pump. The installation of which will increase the site FFT capacity reducing the number of storm overflow events.
Refurbishment of existing MCC control panel compartments, power cabling and ICA cables to bring an additional aeration lane into service on the site, also contributing to increasing the FFT of the site.
Installation of new power and control cabling to new mixers in the site’s sludge holding tanks. Works to bring sludge blanket detection sensors onto the site telemetry system, and upgrades to the sites standby inlet pumping station.
It’s a pleasure to be working alongside YW to protect local watercourses and future proof Yorkshires Sewage network for the future.
