Continued professional development is essential to motivate colleagues and help them achieve their ambitions… It is highly rewarding too! The reviews and employee one-to-ones allow employees to provide feedback and talk to us about their development so we can understand and open up goals on an individual basis as well as discuss the teams accomplishments over the year.
One of the key outputs is to assess training needs, development goals, especially with new employees, and how we can help them achieve their target goals. Joel joined us recently this year and this week he completed his 18th Edition I.E.E. Regs, allowing him to become Yorkshire Water Authorised, opening work and opportunities for him and us, and investing in our people. Between the team, we will complete the following training and courses over the next 3-months:
- SSSTS
- Confined Space Qualification
- Asbestos Awareness
- First Aid at Work
- Inspection and Testing (2391 & 2392)
- 18th Edition
- PASMA
Ethan joined us 12-months ago as an electrician’s mate, and our review highlighted some of the interesting opportunities available. It is rewarding to see the enthusiasm in them when they realise what they can achieve. Our goal as employers is to give them that little bit of help they need and the support to grow.
