This past July, we welcomed Harvey for our work experience placement. Harvey is entering his final year of a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. His daily tasks for LEADA involve 3D modelling a 2,200-litre chemical dosing trailer and creating detailed drawings of the various containment tanks associated with it. Recently, he has begun using Navisworks to create drone-like flythroughs, which help visualise the trailer and its 200+ different components. You can think of it as a virtual tour of the trailer before it even exists.
In addition to this, Harvey has been working on the early design stages of a potential new dosing rig that will house two high-volume chemical tanks within a single container. He is focused on turning the initial concept into a functional working model.
